I recently attended the West Texas Legislative Summit in San Angelo. The topic of this years annual event was "Meeting the Challenges of Education and Workforce in Texas". Dr. Raymund Paredes, Commissioner of the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board made a presentation on the 60x30TX. 60x30TX is designed to have at least 60% of Texans ages 25-34 having a postsecondary credential or degree by 2030. Texas currently sets at 38% in the targeted age group.
