United States Census 2020

By now, you should have received an invitation to respond from Census 2020 that contains an access code. If you, you can still respond via telephone. The access to funding for small business, Federal and State programs, funding for schools, new roads and more are all based on population counts.  With school closures, this allows for 10 minutes to spend contributing to a positive outcome for this community.

Congressional Representation for the next 10 years and business growth in Sweetwater and Nolan County will be solely based on Census response.  Your voice counts, be counted!

This year there are 3 ways to respond:

1.    Online Response: my2020census.gov

2.    Phone Response: 1-844-330-2020

3.    Written survey by mail and return in provided envelope.

Every person within your household counts.  If you are concerned about confidentiality of your responses, please know that under Federal Law Title 13, the Census Bureau is required to keep all details confidential for 72 years.  They are 100% restricted from sharing anything collected with any other government bureau or agency.  The data collected is only for statistical analysis for federal allocation of funds and Congressional Redistricting.

If you are a renter, you need to respond for the address in which you reside.  The Census is currently counting all apartment complexes by self-response.  All property managers need to be encouraging their tenants to fill out their Census

Keep Sweetwaters' voice strong in Congress.  Keep our roads and schools funded by completing your Census today.
