JOB POSTING at Sweetwater Economic Development

 

Sweetwater Economic Development is seeking a dynamic individual for the position of Assistant Marketing/Administrative Director.  The position reports directly to and under the supervision of the Executive Director.

 

Sweetwater Economic Development is a public entity funded by a ½ cent sales tax for Economic Development.  The organization is governed by a (5) five-person Board of Directors, appointed by the Sweetwater City Commission.

 

Responsibilities: essential duties and responsibilities will include, but not limited to, the following;

  • Website monitoring and updates
  • Board administration (communications, minutes, meeting preparation, financials, etc.)
  • Preparing Accounts Payable twice a month
  • Assist in communications w/ board members, clients, elected officials, business leaders, etc.
  • Schedule all travel arrangements
  • Oversee/trouble shoot all in-house technology and devices (Mac/Apple)
  • Administer and Oversee Sweetwater Economic Development programs
  • Assist in marketing and public relations
  • Purchase/maintain promotional items
  • Event/ Meeting planning
  • Gather/organize data collection
  • Attend local/regional meetings as needed
  • Some travel required
  • Responsible for daily operations of the office and all other duties as needed

 

Candidate Criteria: full background check will be required for any successful candidate

  • College degreed preferred, will consider work-related experiences
  • Knowledge of computer programs (i.e; spreadsheets, word processing, database managers, MAC apps and software)
  • Knowledge of website management programs
  • Strong communications skills
  • Results oriented/self-motivated
  • Ability to accept responsibility for control, planning, timetables, and implementation to complete tasks
  • Occasional use of personal vehicle to attend local/regional meeting (mileage reimbursement)
  • Honesty, Integrity, Confidentiality

 

Salary:

  • This position is full time and includes full benefits
  • Standard working hours are 8:00 to 5:00 Monday – Friday w/ limited after hours work required
  • Salary range of $36,000.00 to $42,000.00 DOE/DOQ
  • This position is posted until filled
